The Green Book listed safe lodging and dining for Black travelers from 1936 to 1966. Several Southern sites remain — Hotel Theresa (DC), Lorraine Motel (Memphis), Hampton House (Miami) — and the rest are documented at greenbookofnegrohistory.org.
